The President of the European Council is shortly expected to unveil a draft deal on David Cameron’s EU reform demands. Donald Tusk is to outline details of the deal today. Mr Cameron has demanded an “emergency brake” on migration, giving countries the ability to suspend benefits for up to four years. He’s also calling for a “red card” veto system enabling national parliaments to club together to block EU legislation. The British Prime Minister is aiming to convince his EU counterparts to sign up to his demands at an EU Summit on February the 18th and 19th. The Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly says he believes a deal with Britain will be struck.
