Episode # 863 - The World In Distress

On this Monday, lot's going on, for one thing, the world is in distress very much with the context of things going on all over the world.  Even though God is ever present, much distress is going on and we keep our eyes on the Lord.  Also, another funeral happened this morning at St. Stans and puts the idea of distress and suffering in our/everyone's heads.  With all this in mind, Father Anthony continues to talk about suffering and our attention to the Lord as well.  Another incident that leads to suffering isn't just the funeral and personal stress, but also in Ukranie and the 4.0 earthquake that struck California this morning as well, leading to the idea that the Earth or God is doing something or upset.  Everyone shares their opinions on everything that is going on and what we all need to do, not just as an individual, but together.  Along a different line, Father Anthony brings up the topic of false deities with all this distress and suffering.  On this second week of Lent, two things are happening, one is that Spring is coming or putting up a fight to come soon and St. Patrick's Day is today too.  Father Anthony talks about why they are or we are in distress today, with so much going on in the world and all the bad things/situations going on and Father Anthony mentions how Jesus says that we will go through things like suffering and distress, as well as if He is listening to us or if we are not listening.  The discussion takes a different turn with talking about St Patrick, talking about St. Patrick himself, as well as this being a holiday everyone has fun on and a way to blow off steam, relax, and safe.
