Wake Up TriCounties The Story Behind Kewanee Welcomes

Three families from Afghanistan are being resettled in Kewanee with the help of Kewanee Welcomes. Kewanee Welcomes is a new non-profit organization that has come together to aid those in need who are fleeing from the rule of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Working in partnership with the Samaritan's Purse Afghan Resettlement Program and the Federal government, Kewanee Welcomes is now laying the groundwork and creating a support network for three Afghan families who will be welcomed to Kewanee. Wake Up Tri-Counties spoke with Bobi Throneburg and John Taylor about how Kewanee Welcomes was founded and what you can do to support these families relocating to Kewanee.
