Cuffe asks if scrapping clock changes will save energy

Energy consumption and safety should be key factors when it comes to scrapping seasonal clock changes.

That’s according to Green MEP Ciarán Cuffe who was reacting to the Government’s decision to oppose the move.

The EU wants to see an end to the practice but there are fears it could lead to different time zones on the island of Ireland.
