🕯Theme: The Resurrection Power – Our Redemption Of Errors.
📖Text(s): 1 Kings 13:1-32, 1 Cor. 3:11
-
- In a biblical context, "error" generally refers to a deviation from truth, righteousness, or divine instruction. It encompasses both moral and doctrinal missteps, often leading individuals away from God's intended path. This can include failing to follow received truths, not understanding Scripture correctly, or having a superficial understanding of the Word of God.
- A wrong action (or inaction) caused by bad judgment, ignorance, or inattention. In the Christian context, it is straying from the truth through failing to walk obediently in the truth already received or not “Correctly handling the Word of Truth” (2 Tim 2:15).
There are two important that to look at:
- He executed his assignment without any problem – 6-7
- He exposed what he should not exposed about food and water – 6-9
- Temptation of error started falling
- There are people who are determined to take you out of the will of God for your life
- There are things – past relationships, friends, groups, old schools, what you enjoyed in the world, past glory.
- Why did God not send the old prophet to the King? The Lord knows those who are working for him and their faithfulness to him. God also knows that things are not going well, which is why he sent the young prophet. The word given to the young prophet was to keep him safe, but he rather went to show off how God had spoken to him
- There is no reasoning to be stagnant in life, no resting, no sitting
- Point of arrival in life
- The devil will never bring anything or anybody outside your circle – When the King requested and he refused, but when the prophet came to lie, he accepted. Betrayal does not come from enemies, it comes from friends. The Old Prophet used him to inform people that he was still relevant to God
