US Pre Close Report 07 12 18: US stocks recovery after early roiling

 US sharemarkets slumped on Thursday on renewed tensions between the US and China. With an hour of trade to go the Dow Jones was down by 400 points or 1.6% after being down 766 points earlier in the session. The S&P500 index was lower by 1.4% and the Nasdaq index was down by 50 points or 0.7%
