July 6 Who Am I, Really

A loaded shotgun under his chin is a memory of my dad that I can't shake. But neither does it define me anymore. Real faith in Jesus Christ - not doctrines, not religions - but personal encounters that build faith, change a person's outlook from one of being a victim to being truly free within. Life's relentless challenges remind us that this world can't fix us. However, they can provide the framework that propels us out of our condemning thoughts and memories into a place of confidence and peace.
