Holy Baptism truly does unite us to Christ. In fact, this belief is not something we merely hold to ourselves, but it is held by others too: Both sin and God believe it to be true and regard us accordingly, therefore the Apostle Paul tells us to reckon ourselves the same way as we live our the Christian life.
