Are We Like Barnabas, The Son of Encouragement? - Daily Gospel Reflection

Today Father Sam focuses on the Acts of the Apostles Chapter 4, the first reading from Mass today.

This reading gives us a snapshot of what the early Church was like. It can also be seen as an “ideal” of what Christian Community looks like.

Barnabas, the son of encouragement, who builds up the community, sells a piece of land and leaves it all at the feet of the Apostles. Are we like Barnabas, do we build up and unify the Body of Christ on earth, the Church?
