There were 3 good arguments that Jesus could have been Black:
1 He called everyone "brother"
2. He liked Gospel
3. He couldn't get a fair trial.
But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was
Jewish:
1. He went into His Fathers business.
2. He lived at home until he was 33.
3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his mother was sure he
was
God.
But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus could
have been Italian:
1. He talked with his hands.
2. He had wine with every meal.
3. He used olive oil.
But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus could
have been a Californian:
1. He never cut his hair.
2. He walked around barefoot all the time
3. He started a new religion.
But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus could
have been Irish:
1. He never got married.
2. He was always telling stories.
3. He loved green pastures.
But the most compelling evidence of all - 3 proofs that Jesus
could have been a woman:
1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was no food.
2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who
just didn't get it.
3. And even when he was dead, He had to get up because there was
more work to do.
My own: It is possible that That Jesus was a youth pastor-
He hung out with teenage boys
He always seemed to be eating or drinking
He broke a lot of rules
He cried over kids
Muhammad Ali said “I am the greatest”
Jesus made some startling and very exclusive claims.
For example he said: “I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (Jn 14:6)
I often hear people say that “All religions are basically the same – they all worship the same God”.
But I DON’T agree. Because Jesus doesn’t leave us that option.
Identity Theft – who do you say that I am?
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
If Jesus was in front of you right now and asked you that question… what would be the level of ease you would have in answering that.
What I mean is… if you say yes- and you really mean it then your life is radically different than most peoples lives today. The way you live, give, act, think are all different.
OR IF YOU SAY YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD… and you know your life is not really any different because of that statement you feel awkward, your mind fills with excuses and you immediately want to tell Jesus you will try harder and do better.
Simple question today men…. Who do you say Jesus is?
LIVE IT!
