US Close 4 Apr 19: Shares lift for 5th day

The US sharemarket has extended its winning streak to five days and hit a six month high overnight. Encouraging signs of progress being made on trade talks between the US and China has helped while iron ore prices continue to surge, lifting by 11% in just four days.
