Cohosts, Rachael and Jelaire, continue their deep dive on Sunrise on the Reaping (main topic starts at 16:24). Part one is the episode right before this! Yes, it's a sad book-- ABSOLUTELY. But it's also a masterclass on the importance of resisting oppression both on an individual and societal level. It's so important to remember not to give up. We’re specifically going to get into the importance of taking in new information like our queen Effie Trinket, how Haymitch minimizes his own role, the impact Haymitch's rebellions DID succeed at having, and the importance of Plutarch’s library.
In our high/ miss we discuss ballet/ the Harry Potter Exhibition and some funny mistakes there. See posts of us there on social! We did A LOT of skits. We also get into some health updates where Rachael crashes tf out.

Mrs. Maisle Quote Rachael said was her years theme:
“I want a big life. I want to experience everything. I want to break every single rule there is. They say ambition is an unattractive trait in a woman. Maybe. But you know what's really unattractive? Waiting around for something to happen. Staring out a window, thinking the life you should be living is out there somewhere but not being willing to open the door and go get it. Even if someone tells you you can't. Being a coward is only cute in The Wizard of Oz”
