Produced and Performed By Zeph Daniel Words by Michele Archer Footsteps in the hallway,
The sound grows ever close. One step, two steps, closer…closer… The soul-gutted world crouches in a corner and waits… And the darkness grows. The fumbled lights once passed back and forth Are going, going…gone. And there is nothing see No color, no shadow. Just sound…far off sounds of laughter mixed with screams as the horror of total solitude permeates what remains of things we once called human.

Footsteps in the hallway,
The sound grows ever close.
One step, two steps, closer…closer…
The soul-gutted world crouches in a corner and waits…
And the darkness grows.
The fumbled lights once passed back and forth
Are going, going…gone.
And there is nothing see
No color, no shadow.
Just sound…
far off sounds of laughter mixed with screams
as the horror of total solitude permeates
what remains of things we once called human.
And all the while the footsteps come
One step, two steps…
We’re almost done.
