Both the work of salvation and sanctification are done by the power of the cross and the work of the Holy Spirit. The offer of salvation is God's whole-hearted "yes" to us. Sanctification (the on-going transformation to being more like Christ) happens when we respond with "yes" to being set apart and whole-hearted to Him!
