The sermon for the Third Sunday in Advent, December 11, 2016. The sermon text is based Isaiah 35:1-10 Today's Focus: Rejoice! Jesus comes for you! The third Sunday of Advent, marked by a pink candle in the Advent wreath, is traditionally known as "Gaudete" or "Rejoicing" Sunday. At this part of the season, we can feel Christmas quickly approaching, therefore our anticipation and rejoicing are raised. This morning, we will be encouraged to rejoice even in the face of suffering, for our Savior promises to deliver us. Rejoice and worship Him!
