Homeboy Industries began in 1988 as a way of improving the lives of former gang members in East Los Angeles and has evolved into the largest gang intervention, rehab and re-entry program in the world. One unique facet of Homeboy is their many social enterprises, which creates a significant amount of revenue each year for this nonprofit, growing from a single bakery to almost a dozen enterprises, which provide both a vital training ground for clients as well as revenue streams to support the mission. Learn more about this unique nonprofit with guests Tessa Madden Storms, Executive Director of Development, and Mary Livesay, Manager of Foundation Relations.
