Morning Report 5 July 19: Quiet trade in Europe with Wall Street closed

Wall Street was closed for Independence Day. On Wednesday the Dow Jones rose by 179 points or 0.7% to a record high. The S&P500 lifted by 0.8% to a record high and the Nasdaq was up 61 points or 0.8% to a record high. While European sharemarkets were little changed in thin trade.
