Morning Report 6 Jul 20: US sharemarkets were closed on Friday

On Thursday, the Dow Jones index rose by 92 points or 0.4%, supported by a 0.3% lift in Boeing shares. The S&P500 index lifted by 0.5%. The Nasdaq index was higher by 53 points or 0.5% to a record closing high. For the week, the Dow Jones (+3.2%), S&P 500 (+4%) and Nasdaq (+4.6%) indexes all rose.
