MIPIM 2017: Deutsche Asset Management expects to begin an aggressive drive back into the UK later this year having dramatically reduced its exposure in 2015.
Georg Allendorf, head of real estate in Europe for the fund manager said: “At the moment we are relatively under allocated to the UK. That was mainly driven by us going underweighted on the UK early in 2015 when we had predicted that there would be rise in yields although we did not predict Brexit of course. We believe late in in 2017 as well as in 2018 and 2019 we might see a rebounding of interest in the UK market.”
