Once again Nichiren is confronted by a student (Samurai) concerning doubt of Nichiren's validation as votary of the Lotus. Nichiren uses the opportunity to first repeat his typoical sutra references and his own life, but, this time he adds observations of several sorts to demonstrate the observations in their own surroundings, government, etc. to mirror the teachings in the sutras. Then, as we will see in the next parts, uses the same questions back at the Samurai for consideration.
