Once we had no identity – we struggled to really find ourselves, but now we have an identity as God’s people. Once we defined ourselves, our self-esteem, our self-worth, by who accepts us or wants to be with us, by our accomplishments or even our looks, but the problems is that all those things can be taken away. If we base our identity in any of these things, we are going to find ourselves constantly struggling to find out who we are. However, discovering out true identity is one of the greatest gifts that God gives us, and it comes through knowing that we have been chosen by God. We want to explore what it means to be chosen by God.
