David Parker Ray just may be the one who got away with almost everything.  Although he was only convicted of rape, torture, and kidnapping (Only?)  He is suspected of the kidnapping, rape, torture, and murder of 40-60 woman.  He may have been good enough at body disposal to get away with his crimes for 40 years or more.
