Although the trial only allowed for 1/8th of the real story to be told, justice was still served and hopefully some people learned that it's not a good idea to spin self-serving yarns about the Saratoga Sledgehammer to the police or on the stand, especially when there are so many genuine actions and legitimate flaws in Jailbird Joey to justifiably complain about.
