01 Intro - Why have I recorded ’Could it be ADHD?’ and what to expect

The journey from realising you have ADHD to getting a diagnosis can be quite frankly, brutal. It was for me. Hey I'm Sam, and I got my ADHD diagnosis in April 2024. The feelings and emotions were tough to deal with. In fact, I sent a long email to my clinician asking her to triple-check her notes - that there must have been a misunderstanding. This was after nearly a whole year of being convinced I had ADHD. What was that all about? I wanted to read the experiences of others going through the process but couldn't find much online so thought why not create my own podcast? Not only has it helped me work things out, but I hope it gives some answers to questions I REALLY wish I'd been aware of before and after my assessment.
