US Close 30 Jan: Tough day for the stock market, gold and bonds

US sharemarkets fell on Monday. Shares in Apple fell 2.1% on reports of weak demand for its iPhone X. Investors squared positions ahead of key economic data and the Federal Reserve meeting. In US economic data, personal income rose by 0.4% in December (forecast +0.3%) with spending up 0.4% as expected
