After enduring ten years of frozen fees and grappling with mountains of bureaucratic red tape, Ontario healthcare providers delivering essential rehabilitative care to auto accident victims are finally breathing a sigh of relief. In the 2024 provincial budget, the Doug Ford Progressive Conservative government implemented long-called-for changes to the auto insurance system, aimed at improving patient care by supporting the province's 20,000 physiotherapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists.
