Jude Huntz from the Office of Peace and Social Justice of the Archdiocese of Chicago is our host today, since Father Anthony is on retreat this week, along with Kayla Jacobs, his Catholic Relief Services Intern joining him on the show today. Being his premier show, he opens the show about or Kayla shares with us being on a trip to Madison, Wisconsin, for a Catholic Relief trip, sharing what work was done, as well as learning a lot about coffee too. Joining them in the studio as usual, is Tony too. Kayla talks about all the coffee that was available and brewed, all kinds in fact. Fair Trade is also brought up, seeing as how this was one of other reasons for the trip to Madison. Jim Huntz talks about himself along these lines, being unfortunately lactose intolerant and mentioning food, possibly making everyone hungry. This talk of coffee leads to Fair Trade Coffee's make and sold here in Chicago too. Jim and Kayla discuss, not only with themselves but our listeners with what Fair Trade does and works and goes through with helping people. After the first break, Jim and Kayla talk about Fair Trade a little more, in terms of not only what was discussed, but other things going on with their work and teachings,as well as playing in the social teachings within the Church, as well as provide help for those who are very, very busy. The products provided for are talked about, which Kayla also purchases for herself, as well as the month of October being Fair Trade Month, with lots of activity going on to help out people, with Kayla pointing out and sharing upcoming events, gatherings, and more on what Fair Trade will be conducting this week and month. Jim talks about Our Lady Of Guadalupe with her image in the studio, as well as being connected to their office.
