Counterspy - The Case of the Mile High Murders

Gregor, having learned that the authorities are closely watching his human smuggling enterprise, radios his pilot named Eagan, who is currently in the air carrying eight illegal passengers into Miami from Cuba. Eagan is ordered to force the passengers out of the plane by gunpoint in midair over the Caribbean Sea, activate the automatic pilot and set it for a descending trajectory, and to parachute from the airplane. The plane would soon crash and there would be no evidence of it or any of its illegal passengers. Eagan, reluctantly, carries out Gregor's instructions and makes his way back to Cuba. As a result of this terrible crime, the Miami Office of Immigration makes a call to David Harding, Chief of Counterspies in Washington.
