AM Report 2 July 18: Markets higher but end of quarter positioning hit at the close.

US sharemarkets finished with modest gains on Friday. Shares in Nike rose by 11.1% after providing positive guidance for the year. After being up 293 points, the Dow Jones ended higher by 55 points or 0.2%. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.1% and the Nasdaq lifted 6.6 points or 0.1%. For the quarter the Dow rose 0.7%
