Market Close 13 Dec 21: ASX surrenders ground in late trade, despite mining and energy gains

Mining and energy stocks were the most improved names on Monday, helped by improving iron ore and oil prices. Property stocks were also well supported, helped by earnings upgrades. Fading fortunes for bank stocks weighed on the Index.
