For our 11th episode of the Women in Dentistry podcast, we have Dr. Karen West. Karen West has been President and CEO of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) since July of 2019. Prior to that, Dr. West served as Professor and Dean of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, School of Dental Medicine. Dr. West earned her D.M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and her M.P.H. in Health Administration from the University of South Carolina School of Public Health. Dr. West is a longtime advocate for women’s health and diversity and inclusion in dental education. Her positions on dental faculty and in administration span 30 years, and her experience includes service on leading dental organizations, including time as Chair of the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
