Aldous Huxley’s dystopian novel, published in 1931, envisions a future world governed by the mantra, “Everybody’s happy now.” Today, many of the once-shocking predictions in his novel have already come to pass as we sacrifice questions of human freedom and dignity for the pursuit of comfort and pleasure.
