19. Life Goes On - Sal Pavia

Please join me in welcoming my newfound brother-from-another-mother, Mr. Sal Pavia! We talk mostly about his newest, perhaps greatest adventure of all time: fatherhood. He is a new dad to a beautiful two month old baby boy! We connect way too deeply on how similar our Italian mothers are, laughing about how positively overbearing they can be, but admitting we couldn’t possibly be the men we are today without them.

We draw parallels between raising a child and living a fulfilling life – realizing that as soon as we get the hang of things, they’re going to change. We can ask ourselves how to have more patience or alter our measurement of success, but ultimately we can only do our best to find the answers. Sal shares with me how he is learning to accept himself and as each year passes, he becomes more of the person he is meant to be. No matter what challenges come his way, whether they be of the smelly diaper variety or the tribulations of being an actor in New York City, life goes on. Enjoy!
