Mid-Session 23 Oct 17: Aussie shares start the week higher with the ASX200 remaining above 5900 points

The local sharemarket continues lifting at lunch following a strong lead from Wall Street. Telcos & financials lifting the ASX 200 higher and consolidating above the 5900 point mark.
