When we understand a spiritual truth it is only because the Holy Spirit is working in our lives. Jesus said in John 8:47 that if we do not hear what God says it is because we do not belong to God. He also said in John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice and follow me and then in John 10: 5 he also said, "But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
