Wendy Nadherny Fachon has worked as a contributing writer for the Rhode Island and Greater Boston editions of the magazine since 2010. She began by writing articles focused on nature walking, raising healthy kids and environmental education. Currently Wendy writes monthly business spotlights to showcase holistic health practitioners and other businesses that advertise in the magazine. In Part 1, Wendy opens with a story walk about mysterious journal and then shares her experiences as a Natural Awakenings reader and writer, and she demonstrates the value of the magazine.

Maisie Raftery is a dedicated and entrepreneurial magazine publisher with a profound passion for connecting healthy lifestyle businesses and practitioners to the communities she serves. Since 2011, she has been publishing the Greater Boston edition of Natural Awakenings magazine, which serves as a bridge between allopathic and natural medicine, providing readers with a space to explore natural alternatives and solutions to healing. Her grassroots efforts, including nine months of door-to-door advertising, revenue generation and establishing distribution channels in Greater Boston, laid the foundation for obtaining the Rhode Island edition in January 2021. In Part 2, Maisie talks about how the magazine empowers readers, connecting them with providers who may significantly improve their quality of life and offering a comprehensive resource for holistic well-being for people, pets and our planet.
