Colonel (Retired) Ivan Montanez

Joining me today on Veterans SITREP is Colonel Retired Ivan Montanez, a retired Army Colonel, combat and disabled veteran. who recently through hiked the Appalachian Trail.  Ivan retired in 2018 after over 28 years of service.  He continued to serve as an JROTC Senior Army Instructor at Mount Pleasant High School in Delaware.  Today we’re going to hear his story of navigating and completing the Appalachian Trail, a 2190 mile long public foot path from Georgia to Maine.
