Moriah Hurst: Picking up stories of hope

In today's sermon on "Back to School Sunday" at Park View Mennonite, Pastor Moriah Hurst drew upon the scripture from Joshua 4:1-7, the story of the people of Israel crossing the Jordan. As she contemplated the many transitions happening at the start of a new academic year and church year, she encouraged us to mark these transitions by intentionally choosing which stories from our past we pick up and carry with us to shape the way we see ourselves and our journey in the world.
