Are you ready for a literary escape to Louisiana?
Today we are traveling to Louisiana with author, Akaysha Mynes. A Louisiana native now living in Colorado, Akaysha shares her deep connection to Louisiana and her charming hometown around the Shreveport area. Learn about the top-of-the-boot region (called Arklatex by locals!) and dive into many of the delicious specialty foods of Louisiana that often find their way into her stories.
Akaysha also gave us a glimpse into her book, "Leaving Houma," a sweet romance with a suspense element set in the coastal town of Houma, Louisiana during a hurricane.
