The Christian life is a fight. It's not a war of physically fighting but this is a war of faith. The weapon of this warfare is faith. Faith has an object. The object of faith is the character of God as revealed in Jesus Christ that God is love. God expressed that love in the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ. We know that satan has been defeated. So why then is he still around? He has been left around so that you, by this fight of faith, will come to the fullest potential of faith, that you will grow up. You will find out what being a human being of the new creation is all about. You will discover the boundaries of Christ and the unlimitedness of Christ living in you. You will become established.
