Morning Report 14 Sep 21: US & European stocks mixed as energy prices rally

US sharemarkets were mixed overnight with energy names leading gains after OPEC upgraded demand forecasts for crude oil. The Dow Jones index rose by 262 points or 0.8% and the S&P 500 index added 10 points or 0.2%, both snapping a five-day losing streak. But the Nasdaq index lost 10 points or 0.1%.
