Feasts of the Old Testament (8) - The Day of Atonement

4/21/21 - The day of atonement was the only day of the year the High Priest was allowed access to the Holiest place where God's presence dwelled. It was a day of great fear and carefulness for the man tasked with going before God. Thankfully this day was fulfilled by our Lord Jesus Christ, and through His perfect sacrifice we have access with boldness into the presence of God.

God gave many prophecies, types and shadows in the Old Testament of the future work His son Christ Jesus, many of which are hidden in the feasts and ceremonies given unto Israel. We pray the Lord Jesus be clearly seen as we study through seven of the Old Testament feasts. How marvelous it is to see our Savior pictured so clearly hundreds of years before His advent!
