800 Faith based Pre-marital and Marriage coaching? Do you need it?
I got some exciting news… looks like we have just about nailed the location for our next TDA conference in March of 2020… I should know more in just a few days and i will keep you posted.
Hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving day… ours was epic. I had an ear, eye, nose and throat infection. YAY at least I know now why I have had such a hard time getting over this cold… it’s not a cold - it’s not a tumor - its an infection.

What is it you want more than anything else in the world?
Money?
Wisdom?
Happiness?
Health?
A relationship?
A family?
Regardless of what you answered it probably breaks down into one of 3 areas: Wealth, happiness or Health.
We can put some work in and have some creative control in these areas but they are tricky.
Wealth? yes you can work hard, have 2 jobs, some great investing, some smart saving, live within your means, and maybe a little luck…
But wealth is relative. How much is enough?
And we all know it can be gone in a second.
Health is very much the same way. You can eat right, exercise and think positively… and still get cancer - trust me I know. You could have some pre-genetic disease or disorder or even just have a bad experience with a cut, needle, germ etc…
Health can also be gone in a second.
You probably guessed where I am going with happiness. Same thing. Happiness is dependent on what happens (thus the root word) if good things happen then we are happy. If bad things happen then we are not happy.
Ever buy a new car and you were thrilled? and 3 days later it was totaled? I have.
Might I give some insight as to what really matters… not that health, wealth and happiness don’t matter, but they are only outcomes - and again outcomes that we have only minimal control over.
Here is what really matters.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
This verse is the greek has a beautiful picture. It is that of your whole - all that you are - your physical body, your soul… talents, ideas, gifting etc… your mind, your spirit… all that makes you YOU- commit it in full work.
Be totally committed in every area to everything you do.
Two take aways from this verse:
First - thats the case then you must realize that you can do a lot of stuff and only be half way committed because you don’t have enough time to fully commit. So pick a few things and go all out 100%. Sometimes we water down our results simply because we are doing to much.
Second - fulfillment typically comes not so much from accomplishing our goals but rather by knowing we gave it our all. I can live with 100% effort and not 100% results, but I can’t live with 100% results and only 100% effort… I gotta know I put my all into it.
The story of the the woodchopper… I gotta see the chips fly.
