Morning Report 31 Oct 22: ASX set for a positive start

US sharemarkets lifted solidly on Friday with broad-based gains being recorded. The Dow Jones index rose by 828.5 points or 2.6%. The S&P 500 index lifted 2.5% and the Nasdaq index gained 310 points or 2.9%.
