Market Close 5 Nov. 2019: ASX 200 posts modest gain as RBA leaves rates unchanged

The RBA left rates on hold repeating a recent mantra that "after a soft patch in the second half of last year, a gentle turning point appears to have been reached.’ Banks recovered with the exception of Westpac (WBC), which fell by as much as 4.5% as investors took the first opportunity to respond to yesterday’s poor earnings result.
