Collins wouldn’t be happy at Irish dependence on UK outside EU – Kelly

If Michael Collins were alive today he wouldn’t be very happy at the suggestion that Ireland should consider following Britain out of the EU. So says the Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly who was speaking in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Mr Kelly was reacting to recent comments made by a former Irish diplomat. In a report for the right-leaning UK Policy Exchange think tank, Ray Bassett argued that Ireland should give serious consideration to a radically different relationship between Ireland the the EU post Brexit.
