NAB’s Half Year Result 2 May 19: NAB cuts dividend in tough conditions

National Australia Bank (NAB) has recorded cash earnings of $2.95 billion for the first half of FY19, up 7% on the prior year due to significant restructuring costs not recurring from the previous year. Excluding remediation and restructuring costs, cash earnings were $3.28 billion and 0.3% weaker than 1H18. NAB has slashed its interim dividend by 16% to $0.83/share.
