Salutation, SR Tribe! Welcome and thank you for coming back for another hearty serving of The Sophisticatedly Ratchet Podcast, giving the real in a world of fake.
A friend by definition is a person you know and have a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations. In order to maintain a healthy friendship, you have to make emotional deposits. These deposits are valuable and are more substantial when you are being authentic. And over time, if you've consistently invested in the relationship, the return is priceless. Friends allow us to truly see ourselves, but only if we are brave enough to risk being vulnerable.
Moderating today's episode, Mash- The SPEWgod, shares his thoughts on friends, relationship expectations and discusses friendship dynamics with the Tribe. In Mash's world, there are friends and associates, both roles can have a bond of mutual affection but he puts expectations on friends. Have you ever considered the differences between friends vs associates, do you have the same set of boundaries for all your friends and how important is it to you that they reach out? Let’s talk this one out, pull up, tune in and join the "Friends, How many of us have them" discussion.
