If Love Always Trust, Why is it Difficult to Trust those we say we Love?

To Trust is to believe in the reliability, truth ability or strength in someone. But how can we honestly do that when we operate in Fear, Self-Serving behavior and Hearts that directly reflect our true Hearts towards God.
