When something is new, it's all about baby steps. In the military, a term was called the "Pucker Factor". It is slang for the level of stress and adrenaline in response to a crisis, change, or danger. Many times in business, we experience this pucker factor far too often. When trying scuba, it is there from the word 'Go!'.
